Facilitating Access to Skilled Talent (FAST) Program
The FAST program is for skilled immigrants who want to get a head start in their career in Nova Scotia.
FAST is a free, online employment program to help you prepare to work in Canada in the following sectors:
- Trades
- Biotechnology and life sciences
- IT and data services
- Accounting
- Culinary arts
The FAST program will help you to:
- better understand your industry sector and occupation in Canada
- learn about Canadian workplace culture
- evaluate your skills and knowledge
- identify opportunities to fill skills and competency gaps
To be eligible for this program you must:
- have a minimum of 2 years of experience in one of the five key sectors mentioned above
- be a Permanent Resident, immigrant Canadian citizen, provincial nominee, or international graduate in Nova Scotia
- be registered as an ISANS client and have an Employment Specialist
- have a minimum language level of CLB 5+
