Networking and Idea Sharing on the Tall Ship Silva

On July 23 we co-hosted the second Build Your Business on the Tall Ship Silva networking event and again it was a sold-out success! The purpose of the event was to provide Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia business clients – whether in the business idea stage or already operating – the opportunity to network with the business community and community partners.

Mayor Savage opened the event. He spoke passionately about the importance of immigration and about creating a welcoming city where newcomers can settle, bring their families, study, work and open businesses. He closed by stressing the importance of our work at Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia, and of partnerships and connections, in taking Halifax into the future.

Build Your Business on the Tall Ship Silva provided an opportunity to connect with like-minded people for idea generation, connect the local businesses community to Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia Business Development Services and  Employer Support programs and services, and connect immigrant business owners to the Greater Halifax Partnership – our co-host for the event.

Also, attendees felt it was a true introduction to Nova Scotian hospitality. It really was a terrific evening!

This event was made possible through the generous support of our sponsor Credit Union Atlantic. We couldn’t have done it without them – thank you!
