A huge thank you to the many generous community members who donated bikes in this past Saturday’s bike donation drive for refugees. One hundred and seventy bikes were donated and those that were in need of major repairs will find a new home at Bike Again with the rest of the bikes going to ISANS. Over the winter the Ecology Action Centre, Halifax Cycling Coalition and Bike Again as well as volunteers from ISANS will be doing minor repairs and getting the bikes ready for spring bike safety training workshops. There will be several workshops throughout the spring and summer where newcomers will learn the rules of the road and receive a bike and helmet at the end of the workshop.
