Assess a Potential Employee for up to Six Weeks at No Cost

The Professional Practice Program connects employers across Nova Scotia with skilled immigrant professionals. As a Host Employer, you would offer a participant the chance to work in your organization for up to six weeks at no cost to you. There is no obligation to hire; you have the opportunity to assess the skills of a potential employee in a work-site setting. Skilled immigrants are keen to participate in this program because they gain Canadian work experience, local references, and the opportunity to network and showcase their skills. All participants are job ready and legally eligible to work in Canada.

• No Strings Attached: No obligation to hire or pay – can be terminated by either party at any time

ISANS has offered the Professional Practice Program (formerly called the Work Placement Program) for over ten years and it works! Within three months of completing the program, 70% of participants are working in their field and many employers have hosted multiple placements.
