25 New Canadians Sworn-In at ISANS

A citizenship swearing-in ceremony, involving 25 new Canadians, took place at ISANS in Halifax, on Thursday July 22, 2010. The new Canadians are from 13 countries around the world, including Chile, China, England, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, United States of America, and Yemen. Among the new citizens are Huiling Zhuang, an Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia ESL teacher, and Wasim Baobaid, a volunteer with Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia.

Presiding over the ceremony was Citizenship Judge Linda Carvery. The ceremony was well attended by family members and friends and ISANS staff.
