Making Nova Scotia Stronger – Stories of Community Builders book launch

We want to thank all those who came to Paul O’Regan Hall at the Halifax Central Library last night to help us celebrate stories of community builders! ISANS Director of Operations Gerry Mills, Mayor Mike Savage, and Immigration Minister Lena Diab started off the evening with words of encouragement and welcome. Then the crowd of 200 listened as Orlando Hung, Sreejata Chatterjee, and Pete Luckett shared their inspiring stories of how they came to make Nova Scotia their home. We were then treated to a thrilling performance by Flamenco dancer Maria Osende.

Orlando, Sreejata, Pete and Maria are all featured in Making Nova Scotia Stronger – Stories of Community Builders, and we encourage your to read their stories here on our website.

The night finished with refreshments and conversation on the main floor of Paul O’Regan Hall, where books were available to pick up and take home. We want to extend special thanks to the Halifax Central Library for their support and for being wonderful hosts.
