Thanks to the Children’s Wish Foundation, new Nova Scotian Marwa Harb met Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday on Parliament Hill.
16-year-old Marwa Harb arrived in Canada with her family in 2016 as a Syrian refugee after spending years in a camp in Jordan.
Marwa had a wish — to meet Justin Trudeau and thank him for her family’s new life in Canada. The Children’s Wish Foundation made that happen.
The Prime Minister tweeted some photos of the meeting. Congratulations Marwa!
What a pleasure to host the Harb family on the Hill today. Marwa, I was touched by your story and I’m so glad you & your family are getting the support you need in Halifax. My thanks to @Childrens_wish for making today’s visit a reality. pic.twitter.com/KCHwXzJ4DD
