McInnes Cooper to Provide Pro-bono Legal Counsel to Immigrants Starting a Business

Immigrants starting a business and employing Nova Scotians will have access to pro-bono law services as a result of new partnership between McInnes Cooper and Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia.

McInnes Cooper, among the top business law firms in Canada, will provide legal counsel for qualified Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia clients intending to start a business, including advice on alternate forms of business organization, completion of required documents to establish a business organization, review of commercial leases, advice on labour standards and employment law issues, and tax planning and compliance.

McInnisCooper 023_smImmigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia will facilitate the referral of qualified pro-bono clients to McInnes Cooper, and provide space for legal counsel and clients to meet. As many as 100 Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia clients per year may be eligible to participate.

McInnes Cooper will also provide Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia clients with pro-bono legal counsel on other agreed upon areas that arise throughout the course of the collaboration.
