Today marks the 100th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion. On December 6, 1917, two vessels, one loaded with explosive cargo, crashed in Halifax Harbour, resulting in one of the deadliest disasters in Canadian history. Two-thousand people were killed and 9,000 people were injured.
