ISANS congratulates Halifax City Council on passing the bylaw to enable the Low Income Transit Pass Pilot Program. Providing support for those with low incomes to use transit will reduce isolation and make it possible for more people to access services around Halifax. They will be able to get to work, to be connected with others and to make the most of recreation opportunities. This will make it easier for many people to contribute fully to the social and economic fabric of the community.
